New System, Many ProblemsIndiana is using a new system to sign up for and renew Food Stamps, Medicaid, and TANF. You may be having problems getting benefits using the new system, or you may be helping someone who is having a problem signing up. The organizations represented on this web site are not state or federal agencies and cannot sign you up for benefits, but we can tell you who to report your problem to and the state and federal contacts below will try to fix your problem. If you have recently had trouble applying for new benefits, or in renewing existing Food Stamps, Medicaid or TANF services, please follow the steps below. |

STEP 1—Tell the appropriate federal agencies (so they can fix any problems):
For Food Stamps:
Write, fax, or E-Mail Tim English at the U.S. Department of Agriculture using the contact information below.
In your letter, write: “I am filing a complaint under §7 CFR 271.6." Then tell your story.

In your letter, write, “I am writing to file a complaint based on the failure of Medicaid administrators/staff in Indiana to properly process my case and promptly issue benefits to which I believe I am entitled." Then tell your story.
